Reiki Rhythm Weekend Uniting Sacred Sound with Reiki I & II Certification April 24 -25, 2010 This ancient, scientifically proven technique will put the power of
healing into your own hands - literally.
Join Melinda as she takes participants on an experiential journey
into the primordial healing method of Reiki combined with powerful rhythm
techniques to anchor and strengthen the energy for a truly
transformational healing method. As
a Reiki/Master Teacher, Melinda will teach the rudiments of Reiki Level
One and reveal the Symbols of Level Two while integrating sacred drumming
and sound to build a firm foundation and education in energy healing and
the deeply transformative effects of the drum.
Melinda will guide students through a variety of energy healing and
rhythm modalities that can be used for self healing and the healing of
others. Each student will
receive certification as a Reiki Level I and Level II practitioner along
with the associated attunements, a Reiki handbook and a Reiki treatment
included as part of this two-day class.
No prior experience required – all instruments are provided, or
you may bring your own.

The practice of Reiki is the channeling of universal life force energy to promote spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being. As a powerful, yet gentle healing modality, Reiki has been used to assist in the healing of just about everything and anything affecting the mental, physical and spiritual bodies. This includes, but is not limited to: heart disease, cancer, broken bones, headaches, colds, flu, fatigue, insomnia, lack of confidence, and so much more.
Like you, the drum is a sacred healing tool with a unique
spirit. In shamanism, the
drum is known as “the shaman’s horse,” as it allows the shaman to
“ride” the sound waves created by the drum into deeper realms of
consciousness to help a person heal. When combining Reiki with drumming,
the Divine wisdom inherent in Reiki energy merges with the sound waves
of the Drum creating an undeniably powerful healing effect. Widely published scientific research demonstrates the healing power of the drum showing that drumming enhances the immune system and has been used successfully with Alzheimer’s patients to focus attention, with war veterans to end trauma, with addicts in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, and with prison and homeless populations to enhance self-esteem. It makes perfect sense to unite Reiki & Rhythm as one deeply profound healing method. Reiki is always advantageous and helps to improve the efficiency of all other types of therapy. A treatment has many benefits for both client and practitioner, including enhanced states of awareness and a deep spiritual connection. Reiki can also be used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments. Reiki can heal illness, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism. Reiki is for everybody and benefits people in many wonderful ways but is also effective for animals and plants. If you are basically healthy, Reiki energy works to balance charkas and help you stay clear and balanced, like a massage for the soul.
