Shamanic Therapy™ is a comprehensive study and healing practice that draws upon a medley of ancient Shamanic traditions and powerfully effective, cultural healing practices from around the globe. As the original Earth Medicine, Shamanism is an ancient spiritual tradition for healing the body, mind and spirit that is over 40,000 years old. People of indigenous cultures all over the world have turned to Shamans when there is a healing need. As modern medicine comes full circle, science and humanity are recognizing the validity of these ancient, holistic, nature-based healing practices. Shamanic Therapy™ blends these ancient tools and techniques with modern holistic practices resulting in an amazingly powerful healing system that promotes wholeness- the overall health and well-being of the body, mind and spirit.
The International Awareness Academy is pleased to offer this year-long apprenticeship to become a Certified Shamanic Therapy™ Practitioner. Internationally acclaimed spiritual healing and counseling mentor, and IAA Founder & Director, Melinda Rodriguez has combined her extensive studies in the realms of Shamanism and cultural healing practices to develop Shamanic Therapy™ as an incredible modality of healing that has revealed phenomenal results with her clients. Now she is ready to share these amazing teachings and healing practices as our evolving communities are thirsting for more than what western medicine has to offer. Melinda will take on a limited number of students and coach each one individually in the techniques of Shamanic Therapy™. The 12 month format enables the student to experience the magic and power of the seasons as they journey along the medicine wheel of a year.
No prior experience or training is necessary. This course is designed for people who choose to integrate Shamanic Therapy into their current practice, begin a new career path, or those who simply wish to enhance their life.
During this profoundly powerful 12 month program, students will learn to:
* Master the Art of the Shamanic Journey - traveling in the "non-ordinary" reality of the lower, middle and upper worlds.
* Work with Shamanic Tools such as alters, herbs, crystals, feathers, stones, and more.
* Utilize and administer Shamanic Sound with the drum, rattle, bells and voice.
* Understand illness/wellness from a Shamanistic perspective.
* Experience and perform Soul Retrieval.
* Experience and perform Power Retrieval.
* Perform Shamanic "extraction" or transmuting of unwanted energy.
* Tap into the guidance and wisdom of the Native American Medicine Wheel.
* Explore Goddess Shamanism - understanding women's power.
* Conduct Shamanic counseling and coaching.
* Work with sacred ceremony.
* Use ethical, respectable, and professional methods to build and succeed in your professional Shamanic Therapy™ Practice.
* Cultivate and understand your personal intuitive nature.
* Integrate energy healing and other holistic methods with shamanism.
The Shamanic Therapy™ online apprenticeship and certification program consists of one 60 minute coaching session per month, for 12 months along with an email format of lecture and assignments. Each month will have a different theme or focus and will cover various topics within that theme. Additionally, there will be two special weekend intensives for CSTP students, held in the Southern California area. These weekend intensives are included with the tuition of the course, but attendance is not mandatory, nor necessary for certification. However, attendance is highly recommended and encouraged as these weekends will give the student the opportunity to experience sacred ceremony, comrodery with other students, and further explore the techniques covered throughout the course. Further info on these weekends is outlined below.
Tuition for this groundbreaking course is only $1200 and includes the two, optional weekend intensives, Melinda's "Ultimate Shamanic Journey" CD, certification as a Shamanic Therapy Practitioner, and a listing of your practice on this
webiste. Only a limited number of students will be accepted, based on Melinda's workshop and travel schedule. Registration may be closed indefinitely at any given time.
